Most Parent-Friendly Information

Our Bounty Pregnancy Guides won the Tommy's "Most Parent-Friendly Information" Award. The Parent-Friendly Awards were set up to encourage companies to provide a parent-friendly service. Tommy's PR Manager, Roberta Goldstein, said "With over half a million votes cast in this year's Parent Friendly Awards, winning the award for the best pregnancy information demonstrates that Bounty is recognised by parents and parents-to-be as an essential and helpful resource."

BMA patient information award

The BMA patient information award is part of the BMA medical book competition. The BMA Medical Book competition is held annually by the BMA's Board of Science and administered by the BMA Library. The competition aims to encourage and reward excellence in medical publishing, patient information and medical journalism. All entries are individually reviewed and appraised by doctors and educators who are interested in medical publishing. The BMA patient information award was established in 1997 to recognise quality in written patient information; the award has two categories - printed materials and websites

International Visual Communications Association

BabyCentre.co.uk won both the Knowledge Category Award and the overall Grand Prix Award at the IVCA (International Visual Communications Association) Biz-Net Awards. IVCA Awards are internationally accepted benchmarks for excellence. BabyCentre.co.uk, was judged to be "comprehensive, engaging and easy to navigate - an excellent 'one-stop shop' where planning and thought was evident throughout." It achieved the Grand Prix Award for its "compelling content, high degree of personalisation and sense of community."

Chief Executive of IVCA, Wayne Drew, said of the awards, "Our Biz-Net Awards were created to recognise outstandingly effective websites and this year's Grand Prix winner was a perfect example of this. BabyCentre.co.uk was both a worthy and very well received winner of these two awards."
